busy weekend= $$ & sore, tired feet
My sisters and nieces were awesome! They all worked hard and helped make it a smooth running great service stand :)
I was behind the fryer most of the time and I was frustrated at my damn dough. It wouldn't brown and so my pieces came out ghastly looking. I was wondering what was going on with it since it usually browns well when I cook it at home. So a whole bunch of explanations came to my head then at the end of the weekend I concluded that it could've been the flour I was working with. There were no complaints on it though and the taste was still there but not the color hahaha
A friend provided five batches of her awesome dough to the stand and it browned up golden and crispy. So that helped out immensely!
We made a pretty good profit and I'll probably go and get my wedding dress out today. There's about a month left now and this week we have to get pics taken and apply for the marriage license.
I didn't get to see much of the powwow and it was weird to not know what was going on since we were in a different mode and committed to service at the stand. But I did manage to dance a few songs yesterday with my category.
My grandma took some pics of us working at the stand. I brought my camera to take pics but it was so busy that I didn't take any!
But I did take a few afterwards. Here's me after Day 1 of working...hair scraggly and face greasy from the fryer hahaha
