It's nice to see native talent gain exposure and opportunities.I received a myspace bulletin a few weeks ago from a friend that urged people to vote for her cousin on a singing competition titled Aboriginal Icon. (It's like American Idol for Canadian Natives.)
Earlier today I ran across a news bit to see that she won it and a spot in the final auditions for Canadian Idol.
I think this competition was run on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network or APTN for those who are familiar. Gotta give it up to Canada they got it together!
We here in the states could take a cue from this and run with it.
Uh huh that'll be the day!
