She's a' bloggin' now
Check out my sis Nona's blog she has posted a few pics and I have a feeling she'll get hooked on blogging! =)Well today I've been busy sewing and sewing and more sewing for the powwow for the weekend that starts tonight. Ain't nothin like leaving it 'til the last minute. That's my M.O. hahaha
Anyways, I extended a dress for one of my nieces and then I sewed a skirt for the other one to help lengthen a dress she has never worn! So it'll be cool to see if my touchups make a noticeable difference.
I was going to do a cape for my dress to match my beadwork but I think I'll hold off on that I don't want to rush it and mess up with a nice piece of fabric that you can't find around here. I bought it off of ebay from a gal who'd get fabric from the LA Fashion District and hold auctions. She doesn't sell fabric anymore so I don't want to risk effing it up and be out of that piece that matches my beadwork perfectly. The effect I want for the cape is all sewing/detail work that from far away looks like beadwork. So I'll take my time and bring it out some other time.
Instead, I repaired an old dress and jazzed it up a bit and will take some pics this weekend and post them!
Now I have to shower and pack my powwow gear plus my overnight bag! I think our hotel has wireless so I'll take my camera, laptop and see if I can post some pics later!
