Can you believe it is snowing as I type this?
Ok so today is officially the start of my spring break. I intended to go in and start my observations bright and early but I decided to take Monday and have my spring break today and the next three days I'll be putting in full days in the classroom doing observations and seeing how a full day in a school is run. =) After that, I figure I have to go back for 4 more days to complete my 50 hours of observations before I go in to the middle school to observe 25 class periods of phy. ed and health classes. If I do full days, I should be finished by May and that'll be a huge load lifted before heading into the home stretch.
And so my plans to catch up on a few sewing orders during spring break has again been stalled. But it's ok, school comes first. I do want to get the orders done before summer so I can concentrate on my own stuff and more importantly my husband's. It's been a few years since I last sewed a new dress for myself, I don't really want to compete/dance until I sew at least a few more dresses. So that'll give me time to get caught up on everyone else's stuff before I do my own and also time to get back into shape. My goal is Hinckley (3rd weekend in June) to be trimmer and have some new dresses. I decided that I really need to say "no" to any further order inquests/requests. At top priority in my list right now is 2 orders I committed myself to for a few friends. Maybe I can take a few weekends to get those out of the way ASAP.
Today is St. Patrick's Day and so happy day to all! I drank my annual green beer on Saturday lol Started that tradition three years ago on St. Patrick's Day when I told my sister I never had green beer and always wanted to try it. So in the car we hopped and to Applebee's we went in search of green beer. When our server came we asked him if they had green beer to which the smart ass retorted "We have beer and green food coloring." and we were like "Get to it, bitch!" lol just kidding we didn't say that we just put in our order. Minutes later our green beer came in a frosted glass and we choked it down.
Our trip to the cities was quite eventful! The game was a good one with the Wild leading and New Jersey catching up. We even saw a hockey fight! At the end of the third period, the score was tied and with nobody scoring in overtime the game went into a shootout! Our seats were right by the MN Wild bench and we were four rows up from the glass. I'm working on getting the pics ready for posting by cropping and getting the best shots, or the best I could get from our lil pixel camera. I wouldn't mind getting a new digicam.
I have but one picture from the game to share as of now and it's of my hubby and I so here it is:
