WFB Report

Too bad it was a rain drenched and cold weekend! Saturday was nearly impossible to get into the cramped round house to watch. It was really hard to dance in that stuffy heat too but I did it. I danced hard and was hoping for top 2 but came out in the bottom 2 but that's ok at least I ended my non-placing streak hahaha and I am just happy that I can still hang in there and jam out without getting winded or looking like I'm dancing/struggling with ten pound weights on each foot. lol

Saturday night I hung out in Free's room and we all had some .5% Molson It had a good flavor, I didn't mind it. Then we checked out the bar and it was packed! Now for a memorable dialogue recap that I will be sure to use in the unlikely event this ever happens to me (hope not anyways lol):

A guy:(to my lil sis) How are you doing?
Lil Sis: Ok. I'm doing what I came here to do: drink beer. (takes a sip off the Corona)
(Guy gets the point, walks off and quits lurking around our table)

I kind of felt bad for the guy, he seemed like a nice guy but then realized the only reason he talked to my husband and I was to find out "who is that?" Naw that probably wasn't the sole reason but part of it as he knows my husband. They see each other around and the guy's a tradish dancer. Later on, after I dropped my sis off at the hotel who did I see walking hand in hand back to his room with a barfly who was dirty dancing all night on the dance floor? Yup, you guessed it. Point of story: My sis was there to chill out and the guy was there lookin for some action. See it all the time in that setting and I think it's cool how she handled it. And then it's funny to see when a girl denies a guy and he obviously feels like an ass and has to resort to talking smack to her. Goes to show that he really is an ass and that's all he is looking for lol

So anyways, yesterday the p-wow was held in the high school gym and though it was slightly larger it was still a little cramped. The weather finally got nice and the sun came out shortly before the powwow ended. They had the fish fry before they announced winners and it was pretty good!

All nieces placed! 1st jingle, 1st fancy and 2nd traditional and I ended up with 4th in jingle =) Heard there is one starting tomorrow in Manitoba and then there is one this weekend in Sioux Valley. But we might just stay home, take a break and enjoy our new place.

It was good to see my in-laws and I enjoyed seeing my fam there too. I wish the weather would've been better and not so awful!
