Just considering some thoughts...

So anyone who knows me well enough knows that I have a penchant for traveling and I'm considering doing that within the next year. The small amount of places I've been to already has been exciting, leaving me with a yearning to do more of it. I know that it's in the blood to want to travel; many members of the fam it seems have already been off this continent and I think that's just nifty! =) lol

Thing is, I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any grants available that would help assist me as this would be related to education. Here are some potential opportunities available through school: I'd love to go back to Mexico this coming December to do some work with/about the Maya, or head to New Zealand to visit the Maori and their immersion schools and last but definitely not least is student teaching abroad (I tossed Italy around as an idea to find out there is a high cost of living and so another option would be Prague, Czech Republic)

If money weren't an issue and I had the time, I would do all three in a heartbeat. The New Zealand trip could be possible for our cohort to go and we'll have to do some persisting and swaying on that to make it happen but I'd be up for it.

I'd like to take out as little loans as possible and if it looks like I could pull it off (I know someone who found $$ to go on EuroSpring so I know it CAN be done) I will do it. But right now it's tempting me as I consider it. People I've brought this up to already have been supportive, positive and encouraging about it and I'm grateful for that =) So yeah just some thoughts.
