Monday
First of all I think congratulations are in order for the nieces for jamming out at Manito Ahbee where there were tons of dancers and they placed! A took 4th and S took 5th in their respective categories. I got to watch the web cast and saw them compete on Saturday and they danced well. I got to watch other categories as well and it looked like there was some fierce, stiff competition at that one. My man's grandparents also placed; his kookum took 1st and his gramps took 3rd =) Oh yeah and he had some cousins place in jr boys and teen boys grass.In other news, I'm on my lunch break during week three of my practicum in the classroom. Earlier this morning I had the opportunity to teach a math lesson to fifth graders. It was in Geometry and dealing with polygons. I chose to share some bead work that had polygon shapes incorporated in it and then the students got a chance to make medallions out of construction paper. They had to measure a radius and construct it using a compass and their geometry templates. Then put at least 2 polygons inside. I think it went well and I was observed while I taught and I was told I did a good job. On Thursday I have to teach a Language Arts and Reading lesson. So I have to come up with something for that. I'll post some pics of me in the classroom teaching a lesson when I get them emailed to me. I have a few from when I did a mock math teaching lesson in front of my peers last month that I could post later on as well.
Well, my lunch break is almost over.
It's Monday and I'm tired.
