My bro-in-law asked me to make this for the first place winner in the drum contest his drum group is hosting this weekend in TRF. It was a nice small project to take on. Now I feel ready for summer sewing! I wanted to do the floral a little different so that it makes my work distinguishable, you know so it doesn't get mistaken for another person's work. The black fabric is doubled to make it sturdier, french seams inside so it won't fray and I did the medallion look to compliment the pattern in the fabric and also I personally think the medallion look makes it look more masculine, even when I used the "girly" colors.
